الإدمان على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي و علاقته بالاغتراب النفسي لدي الطلبة الجامعيين: دراسة ميدانية على عينة من طلبة جامعة بلحاج بوشعيب عين تموشنت

Abstract

The present study aimed to determine the relationship between social networking site addiction and psychological alienation, and to know the level of social networking site addiction and psychological alienation among university students. Our study also sought to find statistically significant differences for addiction to social networking sites for certain variables (gender and specialization), as well as for psychological alienation according to the gender variable. To do this, we conducted a study on 157 students randomly sampled at the University of Belhaj Bouchaib, in the wilaya of Ain-Temouchent (Algeria), where we used a social media addiction scale from researcher Rabiha Kayous ( 2022) and the psychological alienation questionnaire by researchers Aimer Omaima and Suwaid Shaima (2019). The results resulted in a statistically significant relationship between addiction to social networking sites and psychological alienation among university students, with a very high level. Likewise, an absence of significant difference is observed on the one hand for addiction to social networking sites due to the gender and specialization variable, and on the other hand for psychological alienation according to the gender variable.
