Abstract

The New Algerian novel is the one that has recently emerged, starting from the seventies. It's named "new" because it's characterized by employing the element of renewal, which is represented in experimentation at the level of language, the marvelous, mythology, as well as heritage. The New Algerian novel has gone through four stages of development: it began in the seventies, continued into the eighties, then the nineties, and the final period is the two thousands, which has persisted until today.
