Abstract

This study aimed to identify the role played by values and ethics in the field of social work, the field study was conducted in the home for elderly people in the state of Ain Tamouchant, the sample consisted of 10 workers from the institution, the tools used in the field research were the interview and observation, and we adopted the analytical descriptive method. The results emphasized the importance and role of values and ethics in the field of social work at the level of the home for the elderly, despite the growing materialism and consumerism in the professional environment. It also showed that the values of respect and good treatment with a religious background play an essential role in promoting the care and service of the elderly, including the need to respect the ethics of the social work profession.
