Abstract

The aim of the study was to reveal the impact of communication between family members on a teenager's self-esteem. The question was raised: What is the impact of communication between family members on a teenager's self-esteem? The following hypotheses were selected:  Communication between family members may affect a teenager's self esteem.  There may be an effect between family communication and a teenager's self-esteem (male, female). The study was conducted on a sample of 04 adolescents (02 males and 02 females), aged between 12 and 17 years. The clinic curriculum, case study, interview and self-esteem measure of Cooper Smith were used. The study found the following findings:  Communication between family members affects a teenager's self esteem.  There is an effect between family communication and a teenager's self esteem.  There is no effect of a sex variable in reducing or raising the self-esteem of a teenager.
