Our research work addressees the socio-cultural in the new second generation 4 the AP
textbook. This modest work has tried to answer the following question:-What is the degree
of presence or absence of socio-cultural or universal indices in the texts chosen from the 4
AP textbook? In order to answer this question we made a descriptive study of the textbook
to verify the support of the national or universal socio-cultural dimension, thus we carried
out a survey in the filed with the teachers of 4th AP to prove the impact of these socio cultural and universal indices in order to understand the proposed texts .To arrive at the
end at a synthesis and a reading of the results
