Abstract

Communication is a complexprocessthatinvolves not only the voice of the faculty, but of course the whole body. Thus, learning a foreignlanguagecannot do withoutusingone'sbodily and emotionalfaculties, because the language must beacted out and shownconcretelysothat the learnercanappropriate and facilitateaccess to meaning. Indeed, artistic practice isparticularly a theatrical practice thatoffers the possibility of bodily and emotional expression at the heart of all promisinginnovativelearning by involvinglearners in authentic communication situations. The results of thisresearch show thattheatrical practices as an educationaltool and artisticactivity, couldbe a didacticdevice to improve the languageskills in French as a foreignlanguage of learners.
