Abstract
The following research paper aims to study the extent of the use of e-government in municipal
offices and its role in improving the level of services provided to citizens.
The paper will select a sample of citizens who benefit from the services provided by the
municipality of Ain Temouchent to study their level of satisfaction with the e-services and personal
services provided by the municipality.
A questionnaire will be used to collect data from the selected sample, and then the data will be
analyzed using the spss 27 program to obtain the results of the study.
The study found that there is a strong will on the part of the Algerian government to pursue change
and digitize services in municipal offices, which has resulted in a significant improvement in the
level of services provided. However, the results achieved on the ground do not comply with the
objectives set out in the government programs, due to the dissatisfaction of the surveyed citizens
with the services provided by the municipality of Ain Temouchent.
Based on the results of the study, the following recommendations were made:
• Work to promote the culture of e-government in popular circles before its use.
• Work to train workers in public facilities on the use of modern technologies, on the one hand, and
on the principles of citizen-administrative relations, on the other.
