Abstract

Language is one of the most important means of communication between individuals, as this language received the attention of scholars, especially linguists, and this led to the knowledge of the tools that contribute to achieving consistency between parts of the text. This research discusses the role of links in the consistency of the poetic text "The Poem of Al Mutanabbi's Satire by Kafur Al-Ikhshidi" and aims to highlight the tools involved in its coherence and interdependence through a set of mechanisms represented in referral, replacement, linkage, deletion, lexical coherence, links, which were abundantly present in the "poem Al Mutanabbi”, where we analyzed it and reached the extent to which these links achieve consistency between the verses of the poem, and this is evident through the different meanings and connotations that work to clarify and facilitate it for the reader.
