Abstract
Oral comprehension and oral expression occupy a very important place in the
teaching/learning of French as a foreign language in Algeria. Our research work is based on
the integration of cartoons in the oral session in the FL class as an effective and motivating
medium instead of the use of traditional media (image, book and board) used by our teachers
in the digital age. To do this, we carried out two experiments with two different classes of the
5th primary year at the school (CHERIFI Mohamed d'Ain Temouchent), to see the results of
the use of the image as a traditional didactic support compared to that of cartoons as
audiovisual supports in order to confirm or invalidate our initial hypotheses.
