Abstract

This study aims to identify the criteria for measuring and evaluating performance in Algerian hospital institutions, especially the “Dr. Ben Zarjab” hospital, using several indicators adopted by the institution under study in order to assess the performance level of the hospital. Our study aimed at answering the problem to know the extent to which this institution uses standards to measure and evaluate performance, by following the analytical descriptive approach, during a specific period based on statistical analysis of SPSS data, and after analyzing we reached the most important results in our research: _ Dr. Bin Zarjab's failure to rely on sufficient indicators to determine the level of its performance; It is also far from the global level of performance. Therefore, the institution should work on developing its level of performance, while working with objective indicators
