Abstract
The study aims to address the subject of "the employment policy in the Algerian
public administrative institution" and the extent to which the Algerian administrations are
keen to implement the regulatory texts for employment contained in the public employment
law, This was done by conducting a field study at the level of the Directorate of Trade and
Export Promotion of the wilaya of Ain Temouchent, and the study concluded that any
violation in the organization of the recruitment process of the public sector, which is subject
to the provisions of the Public employment Law, inevitably leads to the cancellation of the
competition to be organized, with the official subject to a disciplinary penalty.
It was also found that the recruitment process in the Directorate is subject to some
bureaucratic practices, which negatively affect the principles of equality and merit in joining
the job. This study allowed us to present a set of suggestions that contribute to improving the
aspect of the recruitment process in the public administration.
