Résumé
Concrete is the most widely used material in construction today. Aggregates represent
on average 70% to 75% of the volume of concrete. To this end, it is appropriate to study the
possibility of recovering brick waste which is in abundance in brickyards as a substitute for
natural aggregates.
The depletion of natural deposits of aggregates and the difficulties in opening new
quarries make it necessary to seek new sources of supply.
Recycling and recovery of waste are now considered a solution for the future in order
to meet the deficit between production and consumption and to protect the environment.
This thesis seeks to highlight the possibility of using brick waste as recycled
aggregates for concrete.
This work then aims to study the mechanical behavior of concrete based on recycled
aggregates by partially substituting natural aggregates with brick granules at different
percentages (25%, 50%, 75%).
The concretes with the brick aggregates gave acceptable results compared to the
witness of vis-à-vis the mechanical resistance.
