Qualité de l’eau du barrage « Mekhaissia » et son utilisation dans l’irrigation

Abstract

In the region of Ain Temouchent (northwest Algeria), characterized by a semi-arid climate, the use of irrigation is inevitable for most crops. Surface water is increasingly used for irrigation , human activities in the region can be the cause of the degradation of the quality of these waters. Our research work is to determine the water quality of the dam Mekhaissia for irrigation. We studied some physicochemical parameters that are mainly (temperature pH, electrical conductivity, salinity and turbidity of DBO5- DCO). From the results obtained water dam "Mekhaissia" is physicochemical quality acceptable for irrigation also bacterial contamination in the water of the dam should be used with caution because it is not appropriate to irrigation of all cultures.
