Abstract

Crimes related to information and communication technologies are defined as crimes of harming automated data processing systems specified in the Penal Code and any other crime committed or facilitated by an information system or an electronic communications system. Based on this definition, they can be classified into pure information crimes in which the information system is the subject of the crime. And traditional crimes, the information element intervenes as a means of committing them, and the special nature of these crimes affects the procedures for detecting and following them up, due to the lack of physical traces they leave and the large number of people who frequent the crime scene. Searching and investigating them raises many legal problems, which made the Algerian legislator intervene to restrict these procedures in a way that enhances Personal freedoms of individuals. This privacy is not limited to the national level only, but various countries of the world are rushing to confront this new type of crime by establishing international bodies and concluding treaties that allow for the embodiment of international cooperation in this field
