Abstract
The analysis of structures subjected to seismic action is a current field of research and is of
particular interest in countries where seismic activity is significant. The Algerian seismic
regulation (RPA) considers the north of Algeria as a high seismic zone, Algeria is exposed to
the risks of such shocks. Could cause to financial and human problems.
Our work aims to shed light on the parametric study of a reinforced concrete structure with
and without a shrink-wrapped elastomer type insulation system with the sizing of these supports
for this the analysis was carried out by the software (ETABS).
A comparison was made between the displacements and the shear forces at the base of the
structures, the results obtained showed that the structure equipped with seismic insulation
makes it possible to significantly reduce the displacements between floors, it behaves almost
like a body rigid. Regarding the appropriate period of the isolated structure as a whole; It's quite
long considering the great horizontal flexibility.
