These enzymes are produced only by marine bacterial species and are used in a variety of applications including biomedical and physiological fields, the textile industry… etc. In this study, physico-chemical analyses, analysis of secondary structure, structural properties, including homology modelling, refinement and validation of model quality, and functional analyses of kappa-carrageenase from Clostridium puniceum were carried out using various bioinformatic tools. The Κ-carrageenase was found to be thermostable and acidic in nature. The prediction of protein-protein interactions identified two potential functional partners..
