In the first chapter, the researcher examines the Algerian novel as a form of symbolic resistance against the colonial discourse, which sought to marginalize Algerian identity. He then highlights how, after independence, the novel became a critical space for rethinking the new socio-political reality, especially with the persistence of cultural and social hegemonies. The second chapter focuses on the novel *"South Wind"* (*Rīḥ al-Janūb*) by Abdelhamid Benhedouga, considered one of the foundational texts of the Algerian postcolonial novel. The analysis presents the character “Nafissa” as a symbol of the individual's struggle against patriarchal authority and as an expression of identity torn between tradition and modernity. The researcher concludes that Benhedouga does not merely deconstruct the colonial legacy but engages in a deeper critique of internal cultural and social structures, positioning the novel as a tool for consciousness and not merely political reaction.otherPostcolonial discourse, colonial legacy, Algerian novel, Abdelhamid Benhedouga, South Wind, Nafissa, social criticism, identity, patriarchy, resistance, tradition and modernity, socio-critical analysis, gender and power, cultural domination, decolonizationالخطاب مابعد الكولونيالي؛الارث الاستعماري؛الرواية الجزائرية؛عبد الحميد بن هدوقة؛ريح الجنوب؛نفيسة؛النقد الاجتماعي؛الهوية؛النظام الأبوي؛المقاومة؛التقليد و الحداثة؛التحليل السوسيونقدي؛الجندر و السلطة؛الهيمنة الثقافية؛إزالة الاستعمارالنص الروائي الجزائري ما بعد الكولونيالي : دراسة سوسيو نقدية رواية ريح الجنوب لعبد الخميد بن هدوقةThesis
