This study was conducted on two cases (one male and one female) at the Pulmonology Department of the "Ahmed Medeghri" Public Hospital Establishment. To achieve the study objectives, the clinical method based on the case study approach was adopted, utilizing its primary tools: clinical observation, clinical interviews (directed, semi-directed, and free), in addition to applying the Beck Depression Inventory (Beck, 1961) and the Taylor Manifest Anxiety Scale (Taylor, 1953). The results revealed a clear variance in the psychological and emotional responses of the patients based on the degree of acceptance and social support. Specifically, the first case suffers from severe depression and very high anxiety resulting from feelings of helplessness and the loss of a responsible role. In contrast, the second case showed moderate levels of depression and anxiety thanks to her/his conscious acceptance of the illness and effective family support. This confirms that the severity of psychological suffering in COPD patients is not solely linked to physical symptoms, but is strongly influenced by the surrounding environment and the patient's psychological structure.otherPsychological experienceChronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)DepressionAnxietyPulmonology diseasesالمعاش النفسي لمرضى الانسداد الرئوي المزمن: دراسة عيادية لحالتين بمصلحة الأمراض الصدرية بالمؤسسة الإستشفائية "أحمد مدغري" بعين تموشنتThesis
