The study shows that these authorities combine relative independence with technical expertise, enabling them to regulate, supervise, and intervene in areas related to fundamental, economic, social, and digital rights. Their contribution extends to consumer protection, competition regulation, personal data protection, freedom of information, and electoral rights.
