In response to the noticeable rise in the rates of this crime within Algerian society, the legislator introduced a strict and specialized legal framework represented by Law No. 20-15 on the Prevention and Combating of Crimes of Kidnapping of Persons, aiming to paralyze criminal networks and curb this phenomenon.
