It aims to examine the conceptual and legal framework of the crime by defining its concept and elements and distinguishing it from related offences, in addition to studying the legal and institutional mechanisms adopted to combat it. The study addresses the penal policy applicable to offenders, special procedures for investigation, detection, prosecution and judicial inquiry, as well as preventive measures and mechanisms for protecting, assisting and reintegrating victims, while highlighting the importance of national and international cooperation in combating human trafficking. The study concludes that, through Law No. 23-04, the Algerian legislator has established a relatively comprehensive legal and institutional framework for combating human trafficking, combining prevention, criminalization, punishment and victim protection, while emphasizing the need to strengthen coordination and cooperation among the competent authorities to ensure greater effectiveness in combating this crime."Human TraffickingLaw No. 23-04Law No. 25-14PreventionCombatingVictim Protection.
