It highlights the central role of the family as the primary environment for the child’s psychological and social development, emphasizing that disruptions in the family system often manifest as psychological and behavioral disturbances in children. Using the Family Apperception Test (FAT) as a projective clinical tool, the study uncovers children's internal representations of loyalty struggles with their parents, indirectly expressed through their drawings. Findings indicate that loyalty conflict is a significant psychological factor that can disrupt the formation of the child's identity and hinder their emotional and social adjustment, potentially leading to long-lasting consequences if not addressed early. The study advocates for preventive and therapeutic interventions, including psychological awareness programs for parents and the use of projective diagnostic tools for early detection. It also underlines the critical role of mental health professionals in prevention and treatment.
