The studyadopted the descriptive-analyticalmethod by presenting and analyzing the concepts related to reading, relying on educationalliterature and the official documents of the Algerian curriculum, in addition to an analyticalstudy of the educationaltext"TodayWe Clean Our House"prescribed for second-yearprimaryschoolpupils. The findingsrevealedthat oral reading and silentreading are complementarystrategies in teachingArabic. Oral readingcontributes to improvingpronunciation, readingfluency, and identifyingreadingdifficulties, whilesilentreadingenhancescomprehension and enricheslearners' vocabularythroughcontextualword acquisition.
