It aims to assess the effectiveness of expansionary fiscal policy in stimulating economic activity and to identify the nature of the effect of changes in public expenditure on gross domestic product (GDP). To achieve the objectives of the study, the inductive approach was adopted in the theoretical part, while the empirical part relied on a descriptive, analytical, and econometric approach using the Vector Autoregression (VAR) model. The empirical results indicate that public expenditure has a positive impact on economic growth in Algeria; however, this impact remains limited in terms of both magnitude and persistence. This suggests that fiscal policy effectiveness is still insufficient to achieve sustainable economic growth, in the presence of other factors such as inflation, which negatively affect economic performance.otherGross Domestic Product (GDP)Fiscal PolicyVector Autoregression (VAR) Model.أثر الانفاق العمومي على النمو الاقتصادي في الجزائر خلال الفترة من (1980-2024)
