The project supports sustainable water resource management in semi-arid environments. Based on the performance analysis of the Ain Temouchent wastewater treatment plant, treated water quality was assessed against international standards for agricultural reuse. A monthly water balance methodology was employed to determine the optimal storage capacity, accounting for crop demand, system losses, and site constraints.
