The main objective of our research is to examine to what extent the integration of play-based pedagogy can enhance learners' motivation and enrich their vocabulary. The first theoretical part of our work is structured around two chapters: the first is devoted to defining play-based pedagogy, its different types of games, and its integration into the teaching of French as a foreign language. The second chapter focuses on essential concepts such as vocabulary, lexicon, the official vocabulary curriculum for 4th grade primary, as well as lexical learning mechanisms. The second part, which is practical, is based on two research methods: a questionnaire survey conducted with primary school teachers, followed by its analysis, and a field experiment involving two groups of learners – a control group and an experimental group. The results obtained confirmed our initial hypotheses: play-based pedagogy contributes not only to improving learners’ motivation but also to fostering their lexical enrichment and strengthening their interest in vocabulary learning.frplay-based pedagogy, motivation, lexicon, vocabularyاللعب البيداغوجي، التحفيز، المعجم، المفرداتLa Ludopédagogie au service de la motivation dans l’enrichissement lexical chez les apprenants de 4ème année primaire école Bouchikhi Kouider _Ain TemouchentThesis
