The survey was conducted among 75 informants from four regions of the province using ethnobotanical questionnaires. The results led to the identification of 41 plant species belonging to 18 botanical families. The Lamiaceae family was the most represented (24%), followed by Apiaceae (13%), and Zingiberaceae and Piperaceae (7%). The most frequently cited species were Curcuma longa L., Cuminum cyminum L., Capsicum annuum L., and Piper nigrum L., which exhibited high citation frequencies and use values. Leaves were the most commonly used plant parts, followed by seeds and fruits. Infusion and powdered preparations were the principal methods of use. The recorded plants were mainly employed to treat digestive, metabolic, and respiratory disorders. The study also revealed a predominance of female informants (64%), as well as a high proportion of married participants and individuals with a low level of education, emphasizing their important role in preserving and transmitting traditional knowledge. These findings highlight the rich ethnobotanical heritage of Ain Temouchent and the importance of conserving this valuable plant and cultural heritage. Furthermore, they provide a scientific basis for future phytochemical, pharmacological, and agronomic research.frEthnobotanyAromatic plantsCondiment plantsTraditional knowledgeHerbalistAin Temouchent.Valorisation ethnobotanique des plantes aromatiques et condimentaires de la région d’Ain TemouchentThesis
