ابتسام،بن علةأمال، زاوي2026-06-292026-06-292026-06-18https://dspace.univ-temouchent.edu.dz/handle/123456789/7058This study aims to investigate the relationship between personality patterns and the psychological disorders associated with addiction among drug addicts, by identifying the most prevalent personality patterns and examining their relationship with the emergence of certain psychological disorders such as anxiety, depression, impulsivity, and social withdrawal. The study adopted the clinical approach based on the case study method. The Big Five Personality Factors Scale, developed by Paul Costa and Robert McCrae in 1985, was used, in addition to the Psychological Disorders Scale and the clinical interview, in order to explore the nature of the relationship between personality patterns and the psychological disorders accompanying addiction. The findings revealed that certain personality traits, particularly neuroticism, impulsivity, and anxiety, are associated with higher levels of psychological disorders among addicts, making individuals more vulnerable to stress, emotional instability, and poor psychological and social adjustment.
