However, routing is a critical issue that must be taken into account as it has a direct impact on the performance of RCSF-SM. Several protocols have been proposed to solve this problem as well as to reduce power consumption and extend the life of sensor nodes in RCSF-SM. Chain-based routing is an approach to routing protocols that reduces power consumption in RCSF-SM.Our proposed algorithm is formed of several chains positioned in different layers, The chains are formed by the ACO ant colony algorithm, a main chain is formed which allows to transmit the data to the SB, then an evaluation in terms of energy consumption and life of nodes was presented and discussed.underwater wireless sensor network, routing, energy consumption, chain-based approachRoutage basé sur les chaines pour les réseaux de capteurs sans fil sous-marins
