The problem statement was formulated as follows : Does belonging to different social classes within society affect their perceptions of the primary school teaching profession ? Does cultural and economic capital influence the nature of these social representations ? To address this problem , the following main hypothesis was adopted : Social class affiliation directly affects the nature of the social representations held about the teaching .
