dc.description.abstract | The generation of mobile networks, known as 5G and beyond, must meet crucial requirements such as supporting a large number of connected devices, extremely high data rates, and fast transmission times. To achieve these goals, various multiple access techniques have been developed. Our study begins with a description of the requirements of the fifth generation (5G) and explores Orthogonal Multiple Access (OMA) schemes. However, these schemes have certain limitations, leading to the development of another promising technology called Non Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA). NOMAis a newer technology that allows multiple usersto share the same block of resources, such as time, frequency, and spreading code. NOMA techniques are divided into two categories: power domain NOMA and code domain NOMA. We specifically focus on Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access in the power domain. Our work aims to evaluate and compare the performance of NOMA and OMA. We conduct simulations to validate our theoretical studies and assess the data rates of both techniques. Our analysis highlights the advantages of NOMA in terms of capacity, data rates, and resource management, demonstrating its potential for the next generation of mobile services. | en_US |
