dc.description.abstract | Pragmatics is a linguistic trend. The speech act is an important element in pragmatic actions that appeared in ancient times among the Arabs, where it was called the theory of predication and construction. Then the West came and changed the term from the theory of predication and construction to the theory of speech acts. Austin heads it and laid down controlling foundations for it. All of his interests were in language and how to use it to create a successful and understandable communication process. After all that Austin had done, his student Sarl came to complete what his teacher had begun, changing, adding and criticizing. He supported him in some things and disagreed with him in other things. Al-Sayyab relied on it in his poem. Rain Song based on some of the classifications made by Austin in theory | en_US |
