dc.description.abstract | Cow's milk is one of the most important sources of essential nutrients for humans. The objective of this work is the isolation of E Coli strains from raw cow milk and the study of the resistance of the isolates to a few antibiotic molecules. For this, 52 milk samples from 6 dairy farms in the Ain Témouchent region were tested for E coli. The isolation of the strains was carried out on Mackonky Selective Gelose, followed by a biochemical identification of isolates. Of the 52 samples analysed, (26.92%) were contaminated with E Coli. Our study revealed a high rate of resistance to commonly used antibiotics including Ampicillin and Amoxicillin of the family β-Lactamine which are in our results were represented by (89.50%) and (89%), as well as the combination of Amicilline+ Clavulanic Acid (85%), ofloxacin of the Fluoroquinolones family with (71%) resistance, tetracycline (68%) and most recently the Stretomycin (62%). However, very high sensitivities were revealed to colistin sulfate, kanamycin, trimethoprim + sulfamethoxazole, chloramphenicol and Cefotaxime, with values of 98%, 90%, 98%, 92% and 95%, respectively. In conclusion, the results highlighted the importance of controlling E Coli in dairy cattle farms in Algeria at different stages in order to preserve public health. Finally, in the perspective of the One Health concept, efforts to combat antibiotic resistance must therefore be carried out together, in both human and veterinary medicine | en_US |
