Abstract: | To enhance the investment climate in the country, the Algerian legislator issued Law 22-18 related to investment, which represents a qualitative step towards improving the investment environment. This law aims to support foreign investment and settle disputes related to it, by establishing a dispute settlement system that provides a favorable environment for investors and protects them from any Injustice or abuse, and these efforts are strengthened by the presence of the Supreme National Committee for Appeals and the Algerian Judiciary, which guarantees justice and transparency in resolving disputes, provides confidence to investors, and provides alternative means for settling investment disputes, international commercial arbitration, reconciliation, and mediation. It is one of the most effective methods used by parties in investment relations to resolve disputes, which avoids resorting to traditional judicial procedures. These means are characterized by the speed of procedures and their flexibility in settlement, in addition to the parties’ complete control over the process.
