Abstract: International humanitarian law is considered one of the most important laws that all agree on one goal, which is to provide protection to civilians during international armed conflicts or non-international armed conflicts. The scope of application of this law is divided into three scopes, the first of which is the physical scope, which is represented by international and non-international armed conflicts. As well as the personal scope, which requires distinguishing between combatants on the one hand and non-combatants on the other hand, and on the other hand, the distinction between military targets and civilian targets, as well as the spatial scope, which means the various objects that enjoy protection under the provisions of real estate and movable property, and therefore we conclude through our study Previously, international humanitarian law aims to: - Working to reduce the effects of armed conflicts around the world. - Protection of persons not participating in armed conflicts.
