This study focuses on illustrating the impact of foreign direct investment (FDI) on economic growth in Algeria during the period from 1990 to 2022, using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model. The result obtained from this study indicate the existence of a cointegrating relationship between foreign direct investment and economic growth in Algeria during the period 1990-2022. It also shows a limited effect of foreign direct investment on GDP, estimated at 1,67%, due to the low rates of foreign capital inflows compared to global inflow volumes. The study suggests adopting effective strategies to encourage foreign direct investments in order to attract a larger number and provide facilities to support these investments.en_US
