In recent years, several earthquakes of different intensities have shaken several countries and resulted in considerable loss of life and substantial material damage. This damage rates have encouraged researchers in the field of earthquake engineering to evaluate the seismic performance of structures. The present study is based on the assessment of the seismic performance of two types of structural systems, one of which consists of moment resisting frame braced by shear walls, and the other consists of piers and solid slabs work mutually to resist seismic actions. In this assessment, our objective is to know the best seismic behavior between these two systems. The structural behavior evaluation can be carried out on the basis of the dynamic characteristics, inter-story displacement and the P- effect.en_US
