dc.description.abstract | Algerian legislation is making efforts in the area of personal status by introducing amendments to the Family Code in an attempt to familiarize itself with all matters that are under the competence of the Family Affairs Section, which regulates the procedures to be followed in order to initiate these cases before it. In view of the distinctive nature of family issues, Algeria's Code of Civil and Administrative Procedure, in articles 423 to 499 of the Code of Civil and Administrative Procedure, contains provisions consistent with that specificity. The "Family Affairs Section", which is the first text to establish a special section in these cases, clarified its qualitative and regional competencies, as well as the role of the Public Prosecutor's Office as an original party in all family cases and matters, as confirmed in article 3 bis of the Family Code amended by Order No. 05-02 of 27 February 2005, as well as the procedures for all forms of divorce reconciliation and arbitration, as well as the provisions of urgency and minors' cases and their implications | en_US |
