dc.description.abstractIn this work, we present the principles fora heat exchanger design and for evaluating the performance of an existing exchanger. Two approaches are described, an analytical approach and a numerical approach. In the analytical approach, the KERN method is proposed. For the numerical process, Hysys software is used for design. Emphasis is placed on the sizing and design of a tube and shell type heat exchanger.en_US
