Abstract: The state's withdrawal from the economical field was considered the first step towards forming what's known as the Indepe ndent Administrative Authorities across different sectors and specifically the media sector, since the first independent administrative authority to ever be formed in Algeria in 1990 was a media sector one known as The High Council of Media, despite being short lived, it was nonetheless an indicator of the importance of media sector and a proof that the Algerian legistrator was aware of such importance, that eventually led to replace the council with two administrative authorities known as Written Press Aut hority and Audio Visual authority, and across our study it turns out that the legistrator provided them with some privileges to make sure they do their jobs effectively and prevent breaches of law, but such privileges themselves were pretty flawed leading to many inconsistencies, whether it's regarding the independence, or specialties, o r even the juridical supervision
