Abstract: Nosocomial infections constitute a scourge of public health. They can be directly related to hospital care or occur outside of any medical act, their origin can be endogenous or exogenous. Nosocomial infections associated with care are all the more serious when they are triggered by multi-resistant bacteria which constitute a major public health problem. As the problem is behavioral and therefore cultural, it is necessary to carry out popularization, awareness and education campaigns for the general public on the rules of hygiene and the dangers posed by these infections. The action should be extended to schools, where it is necessary to create reflexes of good hygiene practices in children from the youngest age.
