dc.description.abstract | In the past decade, the Augmented Reality (AR) technology has made significant progress in various fields, especially engineering and industrial sectors. Integrating AR technology into Building Information Modeling (BIM) poses a major challenge as it requires users to adopt different approaches in terms of both technical and managerial aspects of projects. This thesis aims to explain the fundamental concepts of BIM and AR separately, and then survey all current methods of integrating these technologies at the software and hardware levels. The research results were implemented through a series of experiments using various programs such as SketchUp Augmented Gamma on an IPHONE 13 PRO MAX. A comparison table was established, evaluating the programs based on their ability to locate and orientate spatial elements (location, direction, and scale). With an achieved accuracy of ±1mm, the result is highly satisfactory and can be relied upon in civil engineering projects. | en_US |
