Abstract: The interest of this work is to study the corrosion resistance of steel in the 0.5 M sulfuric acid H2SO4 medium and its protection by the corrosion inhibitor titanium dioxide changed by silver, by the gravimetric method. Several parameters were studied such as concentration, temperature and time. The results got by this method, show an interesting protective effect of the inhibitor product, despite the aggressiveness of the corrosive environment. The thermodynamic activation parameters showed a physisorption trend as well as an endothermic process. The Langmuir isotherm showed an exothermic nature of adsorption of Ag/TiO2 to the steel surface, and Δ𝐺𝑎𝑑𝑠 ° indicated the spontaneity of the process, whichis physical in nature.
