dc.description.abstractThe present study is as ethnopharmacology survey leads on Ain Temouchent population; its main goal is to list the medicinal plants use for respiratory ailments that could take place during COVID-19. 42% of the 211 participants indicate the use of plants to prevent or treat SARS-CoV-2 symptoms, 14 species were cited, the most used according to citation decreasing order are lemon (citron limon), clove (Syzygium aromaticum) and thyme (Thymus vulgaris). Those natural remedies with promising and proved antiviral activity must be further exploited in experimental and clinical studies in order to extract the active principles that could contribute beside vaccines and drugs to face up Covid-19 pandemic, which is not yet eradicated.en_US
