This thesis explores the complexity of designing and implementing a control unit in electronic systems, illustrated by a simple calculation example. The first chapter covers semiconductor physics and logic gates, including the design and fabrication of integrated circuits. The second chapter deals with sequential circuits necessary for a multi-bit adder, addressing adders, registers, and digital counters. The third chapter examines microprocessors, describing their structure, operation, and functional units, with a practical example of addition. The conclusion highlights the complexity of digital systems and proposes future extensions for more advanced control units.en_US
