Abstract: The objective of this work is to study the effect of chemical fertilizers on the physical, chemical and microbiological characteristics of vine soils and to assess the importance of the mycorrhizal symbiosis on the development of this studied plant species Vitis vinifera of the Terga region (Ain temouchent), Soils sampled under the plant species Vitis vinifera (natural and treated with chemical fertilizers) in the Terga region indicate that the texture of the soil is sandy and low electrical conductivity, alkaline pH and low values of assimilable phosphorus and nitrogen. The establishment of root colonization in the case of Vitis vinifera treated with chemical fertilizers requires three times more inoculum compared to untreated soil with 13.5 and 4.25 respectively. Microscopic examinations of root fragments of natural and chemically fertilizer- treated Vitis vinifera in the Terga region revealed the presence of structures characteristic of arbuscular mycorrhizae, mainly hyphae, arbuscules, vesicles and spores. The frequency of mycorrhization was high in natural fragments with 73.33% and 60% for fragments without chemical fertilizer. The spore extraction method by wet sieving showed the presence of three genera Sqcutollospora, Glomus clarum, Gigaspora in the rhirosphere of Vitis vinifera
