Abstract: The study aims to evaluate the efficiency of public health expenditures in Algeria compared to other developing countries, with a focus on improving the use of available health resources. The study employed multiple research methodologies, including documentary research to present terms related to health expenditures and efficiency, analytical methods for indicators of public expenditures and health sector performance, and quantitative methods using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to assess Algeria's performance in comparison to other developing countries. The study found that Algeria ranks thirteenth in terms of health expenditure efficiency in the Middle East and North Africa region, with an average relative efficiency of 0.982, which is relatively low. The results indicate that Algeria has significant opportunities to improve the use of its health resources by optimizing spending and better allocating resources to achieve better outcomes compared to other developing countries.
