Our study aimed to assess the impact of government spending on health on achieving the third Sustainable Development Goal in Algeria. The study focused on key variables such as female labor force participation, GDP per capita, and per capita public health expenditure. Using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model, the study sought to determine the relationship between public health expenditures and life expectancy at birth in Algeria from 2000 to 2021. The results showed that both female labor force participation and per capita public health expenditure significantly affect life expectancy at birth in Algeria, both in the short and long term. This underscores the importance of effective investment in the health sector to achieve sustainable development goals.en_US
