Abstract: "The Algerian constitutional experience has proven its effectiveness through the constitutional amendment of 2020, by transforming the oversight process on the constitutionality of laws from political oversight exercised by the Constitutional Council for 27 years, during which it proved unable to perform its duties of protecting the principle of the supremacy of the constitution, to judicial oversight, which is considered more stringent and serious in comparison. With its predecessor, this oversight was exercised by the Constitutional Court as an independent institution, the introduction of which was considered an added value and one of the building blocks of the state of law. This appears through the legal status granted to it by the constitutional founder and through his tightening of the conditions for membership in it and the expansion of its jurisdiction in addition to the mechanisms of its work and the absolute authority of its decisive and final decisions. It is not subject to any form of appeal or any consequences resulting from it. "
