Abstract: The present research work focuses on the study of using movies to enhance students‘ speaking skills in Belhadj Bouchaib University of Ain Temouchent in Algeria. This study aims to shed light on using movies as authentic audio-visual tool for improving the process of language acquisition in broad terms, and speaking abilities particularly. The aim is to investigate the impact of watching English films on EFL third-year students who desire to boost their oral abilities. In this regard, a quantative and a qualitative approach are employed in order to validate our research hypotheses which claimed that if films are used consistently in the classroom, EFL students' speaking skills will be enhanced. For data collection, two questionnaires were distributed: the first questionnaire was distributed to forty participants from the whole population of third-year English students, and the second one was distributed to six teachersof Oral Expression.The findings of this study will contribute to the understanding of the role of movies in language learning and offer practical recommendations for language teachers who seek to promote speaking proficiency among EFL students. The main findings revealed the significance of using movies in EFL classroom and their positive impact on students' speaking skills; however, there are some obstacles that must be considered, such as time constraints.
